--LHP Randy Wolf had perhaps his best start since being traded to the Astros in July. Wolf allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) in six innings, lowering his ERA to 4.70 with the Astros. The Astros are 6-1 in games he has started this year.
--1B Lance Berkman hit the first walk-off homer of his career. Berkman hit 285 homers before finally getting a walk-off, marking the most career home runs without a walk-off homer among all active players. --RHP Doug Brocail threw a scoreless ninth inning to get the victory. Brocail has tied his career high with six wins, first set in 1995 while with the Astros.
--2B David Newhan hit his second homer of the season. In 11 starts at second base this year, Newhan is hitting .342 (13-for-38).
--RF Hunter Pence recorded his 14th outfield assist, moving him into ninth place in franchise history. The 14 assists are the most by an Astros outfielder since Richard Hidalgo set a club record with 22 outfield assists in 2003.
BY THE NUMBERS: 44 -- By adding the Nationals Park last weekend, C Brad Ausmus has appeared in 44 major league ballparks. Chris Gomez (47), Gary Sheffield (47) and Ken Griffey Jr. (45) are the only active hitters to have played in more ballparks.
