 HOUSTON (AP) - Infielder David Newhan and the Houston Astros have agreed to a minor league contract. The 35-year-old, the son of retired Los Angeles Times baseball writer Ross Newhan, hit .260 with two homers and 12 RBIs in 64 games for Houston last season. He has a .253 career average with 23 homers, 120 RBIs and 29 steals in 413 games with San Diego (1999-2000), Philadelphia (2000-01), Baltimore (2004-06), the New York Mets (2007) and Houston (2008).
